Hey Jaz, introduce yourself and Grind…

Hi, I’m Jaz, the Social Media and Community Manager at Grind. Grind started out in Shoreditch as a small café…it’s actually our 10th Anniversary this year (Happy Birthday Us)! We now have lots of locations around London and of course our, probably more famous now, at-home coffee subscription range.

Spell it out for us! What is Grind’s mission?

We’re all about sustainability, fair prices for farmers and looking good on your countertop.

How is Grind helping people choose better for the planet?

We noticed that whilst aluminium brands of coffee pods could be recycled, largely, most of them weren’t and there was a real gap for a lifestyle coffee brand with experience in roasting for compostable coffee pods, and that’s how our at-home range was developed.

What, do you believe, is the Grind’s strongest sync with CanO Water?

We’re both heavily focused on sustainability, I think every brand should be. That and our packaging designers love a good minimalist aesthetic.

What’s the most shocking plastic statistic you’ve ever read?

The fact that we all dropped plastic straws when they only account for a tiny proportion of the plastic wastage affecting the oceans, especially when the biggest is fishing nets – definitely seen Seaspiracy on Netflix recently, can you tell?

How easy is it, both physically and mentally, for everyone to make the switch to Grind products? Give us your top tips!

It’s super easy, especially if you already have a Nespresso original pod machine, but if you don’t, we do have ground and whole bean coffee too. One top tip from me, invest in a good milk frother. Absolute game-changer.

Can you give us any insight into Grind’s future plans?

Haha, I’d love to share but then we’d have nothing to launch, I guess all I can say is watch this space.
